Melissa has been in public accounting since 2005. Prior to founding Davidson Pargman & Company, LLC, Melissa worked at Borhart Spellmeyer & Company and Porte Brown managing audit and review clients. She has worked with closely held companies in various industries, including real estate development, manufacturing, construction, professional service, and not-for-profit. Melissa has a deep audit, general business consulting and tax background. She takes a very personalized, hands-on approach to her engagements. She strives to build long-lasting relationships with her clients while providing the highest level of service.
Melissa volunteers with several not-for-profit and civic organizations, including Fox Valley WIM (Board Treasurer & past Operations Chair), G-K AYSO Soccer (Board Treasurer and Coach), Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce (Board Member), Genoa Ambassador, G-K Trailblazers Snowmobile Club, American Institute of CPAs and Illinois CPA Society. Formerly involved with Women Construction Owner’s & Executives and Dundee Crown High School – INCubator program.
Melissa completed her Associate in Science degree in Accounting in 2003 at Kishwaukee College in Malta, Illinois. In 2005, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Northern Illinois University. Melissa was heavily involved in the dance programs at each school she attended, and coached dance at a local high school.
In 2010, Melissa earned the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation after successfully passing the Board’s certification exam. Her professional development includes continuing education courses and seminars on accounting and tax matters.
Melissa lives in Kingston, Illinois with her husband, James, and their three boys, Lane, Lucas, and Loch. She is actively involved in their sporting activities.
